The Prince~by Francine Rivers

"But the King spared Mephiboseth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, because of the Lord's oath that was between them, between Jonathan the son of Saul."

~2 Samuel 21:7

This book was wonderful. It told the story of Jonathan the son of King Saul from the bible. It is part of her "Sons of Encouragement" series that focuses on the men "who stood behind the great heroes of faith". I love the way Francine Rivers writes historical fiction. She takes the events straight from the bible and stays true to the facts. The book really gave me some perspective on the life of Jonathan, how much he gave up, and how he truly strived to serve God and do his will no matter what.
