My Review: The Rose House tells the story of a Lillian Diamon, a woman dealing with grief and heartbreak who finds solace in a beautiful rose covered house. Unknown to Lillian the private moment of grief she experienced visiting the Rose House is captured in a painting which so vividly depicts her private moment that it leaves Lillian feeling exposed and vulnerable. Interested in finding the artist Lillian finds herself entangled in a mystery that not only involves the painting but also the tragedy that brought her to the Rose House in the first place.

This is a book that you won't want to put down. I really enjoyed it and loved how unique the story was and how the story was told from more than one point of view so which added to the suspense and gave a more complete picture. The book has many unexpected turns that will keep you guessing and is a great entertaining read.

Tina Ann Forkner writes contemporary fiction that challenges and inspires. She grew up in Oklahoma and graduated with honors from CSU Sacramento before settling in Wyoming. She lives with her husband, their three bright children and their dog and stays busy serving on the Laramie County Library Foundation Board of Directors. My Review: Being a huge fan of Jane Austen I loved this modern day adaptation of Jane Eyre. This story is a wonderful tribute to Austen's story with modern elements that make it easy to relate to. Even if you are not familiar with the Jane Austen novel this book stands alone as a great story filled with romance and suspense that you will thoroughly enjoy.

Melanie Morey Jeschke (pronounced jes-key), a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, grew up in Richmond, Virginia, and graduated from University of Virginia as a Phi Beta Kappa with an Honors degree in English Literature and a minor in European and English History.

A free-lance travel writer, Melanie contributed the Oxford chapter to the Rick Steves’ England 2006 guidebook. She is a member of the Capital Christian Writers and Christian Fiction Writers as well as three book clubs, and taught high-school English before home-schooling most of her nine children. Melanie lectures on Lewis and Tolkien, Oxford, and writing, and gives inspirational talks to all manner of groups, including university classes, women’s clubs, young professionals, teens, and school children.

A Passion Denied~ by Julie Lessman

A Passion Denied is the third book in The Daughters of Boston Series. This story focused on Elizabeth O'Connor, Faith and Charity's younger sister. Lizzie had been mentored by John Brady since she was a little girl. They shared a love of God's word and of literature, but as Lizzie matures and her feelings for John develop from that of a young girl to a woman in love she becomes frustrated since John seems doomed to view Lizzie as his little sister. Lizzie, though discouraged, refuses to give up him until John's past pushes her away.

I really enjoyed this book. Not only did I get to learn more about Lizzie but the story continues to follow the rest of the O'Connor family who also have difficult situations to deal with in their friendships and marriages. I appreciate how Lessman tells her stories not shying away from the way life is and how sometimes even when trying to live God's way there are ways that one can fall off track or lose sight of the truth and even miss the blessing God has right in front of us. So please check this book out for your self. And if you haven't read the series yet you definitely need to read the other two books. I recommend starting at the beginning with a Passion Most Pure, but be warned once you start reading this series you may find yourself unable to do anything else until the book is finished :)

My Review: Deadlock is a non stop thrill ride that holds you in its grip from start to finish. Columnist John Hutchinson is determined to expose the truth about Brendan Page, a billionaire who business is training soldiers and building hi-tech weapons. I thought this book was great. The writing draws you in so you can see everything vividly and you almost feel like you are watching a movie. If you like suspence thrillers, like me, you will really enjoy this book.
